Michael Thomasson

Michael Thomasson is a Certified Mortgage Banker CMB®and Sr. Manager, Solution Engineering for ICE Mortgage Technology. In his current role he guides a team of Solution Engineers providing Mortgage Industry Expertise, ICE Mortgage Technology Software Solutions, and Technical assistance to prospects and clients supporting the Sales, Business Development, and Professional Services organizations.
With over 35 years of experience within the mortgage industry Michael has been fortunate to have been part of many industry firsts such as implementing the first AUS to market with PMI AURA, a hosted SaaS Loan Origination System comprising Consumer, Commercial and Mortgage lending while at Fiserv and recently Encompass Investor Connect and Encompass eClose. Michael also developed a remote software implementation model while at Fiserv in 2000 moving from on-site to remote with ‘open enrollment classes’ in order to scale the organization while also compressing the time from project start to ‘go live’ for clients. Michael successfully completed the final implementation of Encompass while at Taylor Morrison and also implemented Loan Vision, Motivity, and SoftPro to adopt new technologies in support of the expansion of the lending organization.
He is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, having also attended the University of Alabama main campus in Tuscaloosa, with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance. A fervent baseball fan at all levels, he is also known to friends and family as “Michael Monarch” as he is a Monarch Butterfly Caretaker raising them from caterpillar on Milk Weed in the garden to chrysalis in the Butterfly keeper until their release. The pandemic of 2020 saw an expansion in the variety of butterfly’s that visited his garden branching out to Gulf Fritillaries, Black Swallowtails, and the Florida state butterfly Zebra Longwing.
